So, I just had one of my comments removed from a post because I can't include 'self-promotion' in my comments.
AND, while I know that each sub is moderated with its own unique set of rules and moderators, my comment was a legit answer to the question being asked, whether it was self promotion or not.
SO, WTF?
Listen, if I offer a legitimate answer to your question and provide you with a resource to do so, why the f*** does it matter that I'm self-promoting???
LIKE, it's no different if I were to provide you with a resource from WIKIPEDIA. If it answers your question, THAT'S THE POINT. ALSO, it's a freaking post that straight up ASKS you to self promote.
Reddit, ya'll need to chill out. You're not the masters of the universe, and I think Google ranking you as much as they do is going to your heads.
The point of the internet is to provide users with a solution to their question or problem as quickly AND efficiently as possible. If I do that, then f*** the f*** off and let me self-promote. As simple as that.
You're just as terrible as the corporations you all so resent and say are evil if you are shutting people like me down and only allowing us to promote other people.
I'm only going about this rant because this is something that has happened to me now in several communities.
Ya'll are NOT God ffs, so quit acting like it. I'm tired of seeing redditors and reddit posts everywhere, because from my honest opinion, a lot ya'll act like ya sh*t don't stink and talk to people with much less respect than ya should.
So, chill out.
